Rose in the Hand.jpg

Dating back as far as the 5th century B.C. and practiced by Greek artists “encaustic” is a technique that uses beeswax and damar resin as a medium that allows the artist to transform a photograph into a unique, textured piece of art that blurs the lines between photography and painting.

For me, encaustics present the opportunity to fuse together reality and imagination.
